Tad Nelson is a native Texan and a lifelong resident of the Houston/Galveston area. Mr. Nelson was born on Galveston Island and graduated from Galveston Ball High School in 1983. After graduation, Mr. Nelson traveled to Austin to attend the University of Texas. He worked in the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, serving as an Assistant District Attorney from 1992 to 1995.
Mr. Nelson has also been involved in the community on a more personal level for many years. Since 1999, he has served on the League City Council and on the Board of the Gulf Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters since 1999, where he served as President in 2001-2002. He is active in the Galveston Rotary Club and the League City Lions Club, a sponsor of Bowl for Kids Sake, Meals on Wheels yearly Christmas funds drive, the Yagas Wild Game Dinner, and the Village Fair.
His approach to practicing law and to helping people achieve satisfying solutions to their legal problems is founded on that same type of dedication and belief in the value of service.
