Our Commitment to Community
The founder of our firm, Tad Nelson, is a native Texan and lifelong resident of the Houston/Galveston area. He was born on Galveston Island and graduated from Galveston Ball High School in 1983. After graduation, he travelled to Austin to attend the University of Texas. He worked in the Galveston County District Attorney's Office, serving as an Assistant District Attorney from 1992 to 1995.
He has also been involved in the community on a more personal level for many years. In 1999, he has served on the League City Council and on the Board of the Gulf Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters since 1999, where he served as President in 2001-2002. He is active in the Galveston Rotary Club and the League City Lions Club as well as a sponsor of Bowl for Kids Sake, Meals on Wheels yearly Christmas funds drive, the Yagas Wild Game Dinner and the Village Fair.
The same value of service that drives his community involvement forms the basis for his legal practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law and personal injury.
